We are excited to welcome Pastor Becky Piper as our Intentional Interim Pastor here at Lutheran Memorial Church!

Rev. Becky Piper has been a pastor in the South Dakota Synod since 2005 serving rural, multi-point and large church congregations. Her most recent gig was serving part-time at Grand River Lutheran Church in Buffalo and part-time as a SD synod rural ambassador for the Bear Butte conference. She also supervises two Wartburg Seminary students who serve as Vicars within congregations of the SD Synod. Pastor Becky will complete her time on the Lutheran Social Services governing board at the end of 2026. Her most recent continuing education includes completing boundaries training, as well as auditing an intensive intentional interim ministry training course. Pastor Becky enjoys reading, running with her dog, hiking, exploring, cooking, drinking coffee, and laughing. She lives in Rapid City with her spouse Rev. David Piper and her youngest son, Joshua (who will graduate high school in May 2026). She also enjoys her weekly FaceTime calls with her oldest son, Corban, who is a college student at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.
